Stock and merchandise product into all stores on a designated route. . Monitor their territory and communicate findings as it relates to spoils, sales increases/decreases, pricing, unauthorized items, rejections in receiving and ordering, and new sales opportunities.
Attend all sales related appointments such as Monthly District Meetings, Company Sales Meetings, Product Training, and Store functions.
Follow through on survey requirements, new item cut-ins, and recalled products.
JOB SUMMARY: The Merchandiser works very closely with the Sales Representative on the appearance of product on the shelves in the stores on their route. This includes stocking, merchandising, code checking and communication with the Representative on issues as they arise.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
A Merchandiser must be detail oriented, organized, self motivated, dedicated to customer service and able to successfully work independently in the field. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a repetitive basis. Position requires strong work ethic and flexibility as well as effective communication skills; must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and Outlook. Use of personal vehicle and early morning start time is required. Ideal candidate will have prior Grocery Sales and/or Merchandising experience.
This position will start the May 11 2011 and will last more than 5 months.
Merchandisers will be working in 2 different Grocery Stores per day in their area.
